So the widespread adoption of solid-state lighting (SSL) depends on low-cost, highly integrated drive electronics. NXP is uniquely positioned to deliver those integrated SSL driver solutions. As a total system supplier for consumer applications like cell phones and LCD TVs, we already have extensive systems knowledge in many areas where SSL is finding favor including photo flash and LCD backlighting. And we have a respected and long-standing tradition of delivering integrated driver solutions for conventional light sources.

Drawing on that heritage, we've created a range of high-performance SSL solutions for mobile flash, consumer electronics, automotive lighting and general lighting markets. These solutions help you to deliver lighting products with lower energy consumption, longer lifetimes, smaller form factors, increased robustness and improved intelligence. The portfolio includes both individual components and complete reference designs. All our solutions integrate easily into products – so designers don't need to have extensive electronics skills.
